San Miguel: guerra, arte y devoción

This is the mexican walking tour of San Miguel de Allende. We meet in front of the parrish to start talking about the origins of the city, the viceroyal San Miguel and the Independence of Mexico. We enter the parrish to have the experience of devotion, so important in San Miguel´s history and sense of place. Then, we start a tour through out the historic city, we go to Bellas Artes to see the mural paintings and talk about the history of the art schools.

We visit the Biblioteca, Plaza de la Soledad and San Francisco church, we talk about some of the important families, heroes and characters in the history of the city. We go to the market to have a glass of agave nectar, an ancestral beverage of indigenous Mexico, we end the tour in the Jardín.
